FIVE months!
Hadley is now 5 months old! She gets more and more fun everyday.
Here are some things Hadley likes to do..
Roll over, only when she is in the mood.
Shake a rattle REALLY hard.. sometimes hit herself in the head with it.
Scratch the back of her head.
Touch her ears.
Laugh and Mom and Dad being really silly trying to get her to laugh.
Squealing very loudly.
Drinking water from a glass.
Drool over our food.
Drool.
Bounce up and down while waving her arms.
She is wonderful.
Father's Day
When the clock struck midnight and we were still awake (very unusual for us) I decided to give Chris his gifts from Hadley and I; a photo book entitled "My Daddy and I" by, Hadley Mae Walden, and a large bottle of Maker's Mark.
The whole day was in his hands.. so of corse we went to three hardware stores before it was even noon. After our hardware store field trips, we had a man's man lunch.. taco's from the taco truck. Next on the to do was work out in the yard.. I planted flowers, (can you believe they are still alive?) and Chris worked away on his pizza oven. We had a great day just laying low and spending time together.
We walked down to the Grandparent's and had a BBQ dinner. While we were all hanging around outside Tucker came up and gave Hadley a big lick in the face and she busted up laughing! Her first giggle! Such a great gift for Father's day. She is so thoughtful.. and cute!
Happy Father's Day to the best Dad a little girl could ask for, and the best Husband I could ask for. We love you so much!
Here are some photos morgan took of Hadley and I to give Chris..
Deter Wedding
June 5th my dearest friend, Lindsay got married to the love of her life, Benjamin Deters.
I was so blessed to be a part of the couple's beautiful day.. it was also a very busy day, so pictures were not at the top of my to-do.
Here are my pictures in words...
Chris played guitar during the ceremony, and Grandpa performed the ceremony. Lindsay looked like a model in her gorgeous dotted swiss dress and her pretty blonde hair pulled back into a sweet up-do. One of my favorite parts of Lindsay's ensemble would be her fun multi-colored glittered heels!
Watching Ben's face as Lindsay walked down the isle may have been my favorite part of the evening. He was so genuinely happy.
The food was delish! Wedge salads, potatoes with all the fixins', Chicken in a yummy cherry sauce, grilled balsamic vegetables, tri tip, and of corse CAKE!
The guests danced the night away.. even Chis danced with Hadley in her stroller (second favorite moment of the night.)
The whole weekend was a wonderful one! Hadley did great, she has now been to Tahoe twice!
Hooray for the Deters! May God continue to bless you both!
...ready for a baby now?

four month checkup
Today Hadley, Grandma, and I went to Kaiser for Hadley's four month well visit.
While we were waiting for Dr. Reid, my Mom guessed that Hadley would be in the 50th percentile for height and the 90th for weight.. she was spot on.
Our little butterball is fifteen pounds, fourteen ounces and twenty four and a half inches long.
Dr. Reid told us the extra chub is perfect for Hadley's brain development.
Next up were vaccines. Sad.
The first one was an oral vaccine, Hadley did not like the taste one bit. The nurse said it is the breast fed babies that hate this one the most. We just did a little at a time because she was so upset. Next I was asked to lay Hadley on the table and "hug hold" her arms while she got the two shots in her thighs.. right before the second shot was administered, the nurse told me "this one will take her breath away." It did. Heartbreaking.
We quickly went out to the car where I nursed the poor girl to sleep, and she was nothing but happy the rest of the day (so far).
For Lunch, Kendyll and Lindsay came for a visit and brought a delicious lunch from Pizza Azzuro. It was SO nice the catch up with Lindsay in this little window of time after her wedding but before she leaves for her three week honeymoon to Europe! We will miss you!
Thank you for visiting us!
Hadley is sleeping peacefully as I type, good thing because we have a busy evening ahead of us; bowling then Chris' first softball playoff game.
Cornerstone is UNDEFEATED! woo!
